Last year - I was forced to purchase a new car. Like everyone else, the monthly car payment can be experienced as the originator of my newly acquired "low-back pain".
Though financial obligations can manifest as physical pain, neuromuscular pain grounded in biomechanical misalignment causes acute & chronic injury to surrounding structures.
Misalignment precipitates injury to all contractile soft tissues. These tissues include Skeletal Muscle, Ligaments, and Tendons.
Misalignment of the Skeletal System sustains injury, and once acute injury occurs, the element of time leads to chronic and, increasingly, debilitating, movement.
Initially, Skeletal Muscle is deprived of critical oxygen necessary for healthy movement. It can become "pinched", over-stretched, and/or strained.
When I evaluate a client's pain, & confident neuromuscular injury has occurred, components of their treatment are formulated and a rehabilitation protocol is advanced, & most importantly, is patient-centered.
Our quality of life, our commitment to people, our work & play all become compromised and we begin to do less & less, restricting our movements to ease or even hope to decrease compensatory pain patterns.

Patient's commonly beleeive that the neuromuscular pain is originating from the low back. This is most often not the case.
The relationship of the pelvis to the vertebral column, iwth all the surrounding tissues, becomes unbalanced and aligned improperly.
Most commonly attribute the problem to the "Hip Flexors" and this is part of the problem. Most often though the pain comes from the misalignment of the skeletal bones and causes the imbalance of complimentary, co-contractor muscles.
The QLs muscles, which most people have never heard of, and the Gluteus Medius muscles are the originally injured tissues.
Long explanation shortened means these set of muscles become the first set of muscles which react to misalignment because the pelvis and vertebral column work off what is known as a "Lumbosacral Rhythm", much like a rollercoaster.
And...this misalignment originates BECAUSE of how terribly designed the car seat is and little thought - for orthopedic heatlh & wellness go into the designs, throughout the automotive industry.
And........though the steps taken to get back to your prior level of function, in healthy movement, can take time, the commitment to Car Seat "Toothbrush Exercises" ensures you have done all your can do to restore the vascular health of all your muscles and contractile tissues.
This can lead to globally improved endurance and strength of your body, resulting in improved freedom of movement and, more importantly, a reduction, or even possibly, complete elimination of - low-back pain.
